Strong Links

I am tired of these free directories asking me to submit and then just deleting my submission because I didn’t pay a fee. Why call yourself free if you are going to charge at the end? I know of a lot of people who try these types of places to get a free link. But I think they are wasting their time. I think they believe that this link from a PR1 site is going to help them rank better in Search Engines or get a higher page rank themselves. These people need to look further than what is free to search for something valuable. I know of places that charge money to review their site and actually place it in a PR4 directory. This is called a quality directory, yes they exist, and they are hard to find. A directory that gives you a strong link is a great place to build your web site reputation and search engine relevancy from.

A strong link is definitely an asset. How do people think they can get them for free these days? When you are serious about your own web reputation, you search for others who believe in their own web reputation. Because if a directory links to a crappy site, they get pulled down to their level too. Its not a free link, its an approval of the site too. A directory needs to be able to approve a site, not just be sponsored by it. Money can buy certain things, but a good directory knows when to reject a submission in order to maintain its own web reputation. Think about that when you are looking for a strong link these days, don’t be afraid to invest in your links.
